A Horror Movie
Strangely, when Chinese restaurants appear in my dreams, they almost always appear in ruins. And I’m pretty sure that’s not the case in other scenes, when I enter the place, I feel an indescribable fear. My legs shake with every step I take. The walls and floor are splattered with unidentifiable things, which in my dream I assume to be human blood, and I realize that something terrible has happened here. But why a Chinese restaurant? What is it?
Was I ever beaten up by a Chinese restaurant owner when I was a kid, or did I ever get sick or get food poisoning from eating jajang noodles, or was I ever offended by human hair in my Chinese food? No matter how much I think about it, I can’t recall any bad memories. I don’t know why Chinese restaurants are so hostile to me in my dreams. Is it a premonition, a warning that something bad is going to happen to me at a Chinese restaurant in the future? I’m sad if that’s the case. I love Chinese food, and I just had a great lunch today at the buffet, and the Guobaorou and stir fried seafood and vegetable were amazing.
But the ruins of that Chinese restaurant in my dream last night, like a scene from a horror movie, still send shivers down my spine when I think about it.
