Daiso Earphones
I bought a new pair of wired earphones from Daiso ten days ago because I wore out my old pair. I wonder who uses wired earphones these days, but I don’t use wireless earphones unless it’s an emergency. My Bluetooth keyboard is also mostly wired, not to mention my earphones. I don’t know when I’ll run out of battery unexpectedly, so it’s a bit of an inconvenience, but it’s much easier to live wired. Also, my ears are cheap enough that I don’t need fancy features like noise canceling and stereo, so I’m happy with reasonably priced earphones that don’t muffle the sound.
However, after using the Daiso earphones this time, I was very disappointed. I didn’t have high expectations for earphones that cost 5,000 won. I got what I paid for, and the sound quality was good enough for my ears. The problem lies elsewhere. I don’t like the earphone cord. Apparently, the earphone cord has some kind of magic that allows all the noise from the cord to pass unfiltered to my ears. Whenever something touches the cord, you can hear a pulse-like noise. This is fine when I’m sitting still indoors, but I can’t listen to music while walking down the street. The moment the earphone cord touches my clothes, it suddenly turns into a stethoscope.
But other than that, I don’t really have any complaints, but it’s a bit disappointing. That one complaint is so critical that I can’t stand it. I wish someone would point me to a good pair of earphones. So that I don’t have to worry about what to buy. I’m not looking for anything fancy, just something that’s affordable and that I can listen to while walking.
